Pandemics, no concerts, locked inside my house for too long. I've done a lot of thinking. And reflecting. It's lead me here. I want to start teaching lessons to connect with people again. I want to inspire you and let you inspire me. Sitting and playing guitar by myself is nice, but playing with others is truly what I love to do. For a long time, I thought I wanted to be a solo musician. Just up on stage alone. But it turns out that I thrive when I play with others. To have minds to bounce ideas off of. That's what inspires me to be better, to grow, to challenge myself. Playing guitar is a JOURNEY. It's long and tedious and sometimes I want to give up and other times I can't put it down. I want to take you on that journey with me if you want to hop on the bus. We can talk about songwriting, guitar playing, touring, singing, stage presence, performing. ALL OF IT.
I've been playing guitar for 11 years and teaching songwriting at YPI Summer Camp for 7 to ages 10-18. I am completely open to teaching to other ages as well. I love to watch the fire of music burn in others and it's time to bring it to my home and yours. We can work on things you want to and I'll do my best to answer any questions you have about what I do. Each lesson will be tailored to individual students. Prices vary on the length of the lesson.
I want to challenge myself by doing this and I think connecting with my audience will make me feel like I have a purpose again. This whole not playing shows thing is getting old and sad, so let's change that together.
